The Book of Acts | The Holy Spirit
What does it look like to be a church empowered by the Holy Spirit? As we begin our new series, The Church Unhindered, through the book of Acts, we see Jesus preparing His followers for a mission bigger than they could accomplish on their own. While the disciples wanted a timeline, Jesus gave them an assignment: “You will be my witnesses.” Then, at Pentecost, everything changed. The Holy Spirit filled the believers, God’s presence no longer dwelled only in a temple made by human hands, and the Church was empowered to carry the Gospel to the ends of the earth. What happened in Acts 2 wasn’t simply a miraculous moment - it was the beginning of a Spirit-filled, Jesus-centered movement that would change the world. And the miracle was never the point. Jesus was.
