The Brothers I Genesis 25-27

This week we explored the story of Jacob and Esau in Genesis 25, where a moment of hunger leads Esau to trade his birthright for a bowl of stew. The passage challenges us to consider how easily we can let our appetites lead our decisions, trading what is sacred for what is immediate. Sometimes it isn’t open rebellion that causes us to lose blessing - it’s slow negligence and devaluing what God has given us. Through this story we’re reminded not to let cravings override covenant, and to step fully into the birthright God has placed on our lives.
