The Encounter I Genesis 28-29

This week in Genesis 28–29, we see Jacob encounter God in a “certain place”. A moment that shifts everything. Until then, the promises of God had been inherited, but not personal. In that place, Jacob realizes, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.” The story reminds us that we can be unaware until revelation becomes personal, and God often brings each of us to a specific place of encounter where His promises become real to us. From there, grace carries us forward through both the days we enjoy and the days we endure.
